I called front desk to let them know I wasn't happy with my room and asked if they had another with a bathtub, as I had requested. I was immediately told it wouldn't be a problem and to come down for my new keys. The room I got was like a different hotel experience! This room matched the luxury of the rest of the hotel. I was very happy with the great room but even more with the amazingly fast and helpful front desk associate.
I was unhappy with my original room due to it being kinda dirty, a lamp was broken, and it was a shower when I requested a tub. But this was amended immediately by front desk staff and I really appreciated that.

Really good experience in a luxury corner room with spacious interiors and a great city view. The staff's friendliness enhanced our stay, and the elegant holiday decor added charm. The bathroom showed signs of neglect with some mildew, and the shower setup was less than ideal. The dining experience could improve with basic seasonings readily available.

Extremely spacious and trendy rooms, particularly good views of the lake and the city. Marvellous and gorgeous location - just next door to especially for the price in the more-or-less heart of Chicago as well as many restaurants and Lake Michigan.
Beds were too soft.

Close proximity to beach and Gold Coast bars/restaurants yet it was in a serene area.
We were there during renovations so of course the lobby will eventually be nicer.

A safe, a mini bar, and central heating in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. Amazing location with particularly nice views. 0.5 km to the airport.

I loved the friendliness of the staff and how they did everything to accommodate my needs. The location was great too! In the heart of Chicago and it was so nice to wake up in the morning and experience the quietness ... it was unbelievable!
The halls are very dark.

It was within walking distance to lake shore drive and the L-way
We were not told about the renovation going on so we had to carry our bags up and down two sets of stairs to get into the hotel. There was only one working elevator. We were under the impression that it had a nice restuarnt and swimming pool.that would be available but was not. The room had no chairs to sit in other than a desk chair and the beds were 12" from the floor so that made them uncomfortable to sit on in place of the chairs.

Everything was great, even so a few employees were very inexperienced. The service was flawless and the rooms were big size with a great view and lovely soft carpet, as example. A lot of food served in the lobby for breakfast, it was delicious.
Views appeared to be awful.

Loved this spot! The beautiful lobby was perfect for chilling, and the grab & go pantry saved us when we didn't want to venture out. Plus, the location is clutch, just a short walk to awesome restaurants. Highly recommend if you're looking for comfort and convenience!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The newly refurbished room was clean and fresh.
The hotel is under a major renovation. There are no food or beverages available at the hotel as the restaurant and room services are closed. We were unaware of this when we booked our nonrefundable reservation. We were also disappointed that we couldn't eat at the Pump Room as we had planned. There are several delivery services for food, but pizza didn't cut it. Construction noises in the hotel start around 8:00 am, and we had to wait between10-15 minutes for 1 of 2 very small elevators every time we wanted to leave/enter our room. Oh Yeah - no fans in the bathrooms!

The location.
Although the booking advice mentioned renovation was taking place, it did not advise that there were no refreshment facilities available. The room was very basic, toiletries were almost non existent. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we managed little sleep. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. More fool me for chosing this hotel - the only reasons were that the location looked good and we were with friends who had already booked this hotel at a rate, so I found out afterwards of 1/4 of the exorbitent rate we paid. How they had the audacity to charge the full rate given the condition of the hotel is unbelievable.

Location! Parking was also a good deal (for Chicago) at $29 per day, although no in/out so you had to use other modes of transportation during the stay (which worked for us).
No alarm clock in the room and no refridgerator in the room. Also had to ask for ice, no access to the machine (made me feel like I was bugging the staff).

Thanks to a great service I had a wonderful stay. The room was great-sized and newly renovated with a Queen sized bed and a drink and nice design and safety measures included smoke detectors.
